Anthony Joseph "AJ" Foyt Jr. is one of the legends in the world of motor sports racing. During his career he raced in numerous genres including midget cars, sprint cars, champ cars, sports cars, stock cars and Indy cars. He was highly successful and holds the USAC career wins record with 159 victories and the American championship racing career wins record with 67 wins. He is the only driver to win the Indianapolis 500 (four times), the Daytona 500, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The epitome of the hard-driving Texan, AJ Foyt's exploits are legendary from designing and working on his own cars and engines to winning some of the most prestigious races in the world. Perhaps he is most famously known for being the first driver to win the Indianapolis 500 four times.
