The Challenger II is the United Kingdom's current main battle tank. Built by the British company Vickers Defense Systems, the Challenger II has been in service since 1994. The Challenger 2 is one of the most heavily armored and best protected tank in the world. The tank served during the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and has the distinction of being the only tank to serve in that conflict which did not receive any losses due to enemy fire.
